As part of our responsible sourcing and production work, Proforest and Nestlé are proud to engage with the farming communities of Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is the fourth-largest coconut producer in the world, and this collaboration helps us better understand the systemic challenges and identify opportunities for more resilient supply chains. Our work with Nestlé suppliers and upstream producers on responsible coconut production, through on-the-ground stakeholder consultations, and our strategic partnership with the Coconut Research Institute of Sri Lanka, aims to equip farmers to be more resilient and improve sustainability practices across the supply chain.
