🌊 Building Stronger MSMEs in the Blue Economy 🌊 Recently, the OECS Commission, through the Unleashing the Blue Economy of the Caribbean (UBEC) Project, hosted Business Development Services (BDS) Information Sessions in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. MSME owners in Fisheries, Marine Tourism, and Waste Management gained valuable guidance on how to access funding and technical support through the Regional MSME Matching Grants Programme. 💼✨ 💬 “This section of the programme allows MSMEs to benefit from training in financial management, marketing, human resource management, customer service, and even proposal development,” said Simone Murray, BDS Consultant for SVG. The Window 1 Call for Proposals launches soon! The OECS came into being on June 18th 1981, when seven Eastern Caribbean countries signed a treaty agreeing to cooperate with each other while promoting unity and solidarity among its Members. The Treaty became known as the Treaty of Basseterre, so named in honour of the capital city of St. Kitts and Nevis where it was signed.
