Camp Southern Ground - Bobby Payne

For service members leaving the military, the transition to their new lives as civilians can be challenging. For many, veteran-serving organizations (VSOs) help ease that transition, providing career counseling, resume services, access to other veterans and a range of other support. The CDC Foundation supports VSOs across the country, like Camp Southern Ground in Fayetteville, Georgia, with tools and resources they can use to bolster their veteran services. Listen as U.S. Air Force veteran Bobby Payne, a Warrior Week participant, explains the vital role that VSOs can play in helping service members transition to civilian life.
