Cultivating Connections: Partnering to Address Food Insecurity Among Military Families
The latest in the Hunger Nutrition and Health Action Collaborative Monthly Webinar Series was held on September 17, 2025. Participants connected with partners across the U.S. dedicated to ending hunger and building healthy communities. This webinar highlighted successful strategies, food and nutrition system changes, multisector partnerships, and community-building efforts.
One in five military and veteran families experience food insecurity—rising to one in four among active duty military families—compared to one in eight U.S. households. During this partner call, audience members learned about programs and partnerships that are working to address food insecurity among military families. Panelists included Shannon Razsadin, from the Military Family Advisory Network (MFAN), and Sue Potter from Nourish Pierce County Food Bank in Tacoma, Washington.
