The Capacity-building Initiative for Transparency Global Support Programme (CBIT-GSP), in collaboration with the UNFCCC AFOLU Unit and GCF REDD+ Focal Point, is organizing this webinar to inform countries about REDD+ reporting requirements, exchange experiences, and motivate Anglophone African countries that are participating in REDD+ to submit their Technical Annex on REDD+ under ETF going forward. This is in recognition of significant progress in transparency in Anglophone Africa, with 12 countries having submitted their first BTR; none have submitted the Technical Annex on REDD+. Yet, REDD+ is high on the agenda in many Anglophone African countries, particularly in the context of result-based payments, given that countries submitted such an annex earlier, together with their BURs. This webinar aims to strengthen the understanding of REDD+ requirements more generally and to provide guidance on how countries can report on their REDD+ results through a technical annex on REDD+ in conjunction with their BTR.
