This is the second policy dialogue exploring how electric cooking can be scaled across Africa to deliver cleaner, more affordable, and more reliable cooking solutions at speed and at scale. The focus of this dialogue is on finance for the clean cooking transition, looking at how innovative financing, including carbon financing under Article 6, can accelerate the adoption of low-carbon Tier 4+ technologies. The dialogues are taking place in the run up to the 2nd Summit on Clean Cooking in Africa, convened by the International Energy Agency (IEA), to be held in #Nairobi 9-10 July. This new Policy Dialogue Series on clean cooking in Africa is organized by UN Environment Programme, the Climate & Clean Air Coalition, and the African Energy Commission of the African Union, and co-organized by UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre.
