Ethiopia: Preventive Measures before Malaria Peak in Kule Refugee Camp

MSF in Kule Refugee Camp is currently carrying out an Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) Campaign as part of Malaria prevention efforts. IRS involves spraying the interior walls of living structures, latrines, kitchens & animal sheds with approved insecticides that kill or repel mosquitoes when they rest on treated surfaces. This helps reduce indoor mosquito prevalence and lowers the risk of malaria🩸transmission within the community. The protective effect of the insecticide lasts for approximately three to six months, providing coverage throughout the period of highest malaria transmission.
