Somalia entered 2025 facing a deepening humanitarian emergency. Millions of people have been affected by prolonged drought and repeated failed rainy seasons, while insecurity and displacement continue to disrupt livelihoods and access to services. At the same time, humanitarian funding has sharply declined, forcing the closure or reduction of hundreds of health and nutrition facilities across the country.
