World Environment Day: Heart‑Related Illnesses

Extreme heat, air pollution, and environmental stress place added strain on the heart. Rising temperatures and poor air quality increase the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and other cardiovascular conditions—especially among people with limited access to healthcare. As climate‑related stress intensifies, MSF teams are responding to a growing burden of heart‑related illnesses linked to environmental change. Protecting the environment is also about protecting heart health.
