As health actors, we are both responding to the health impacts generated by emissions while also contributing to those emissions when carrying out our social mission. As health professionals we have an ethical obligation to ‘first do no harm’ to people and the planet. We have committed to taking action to reduce our environmental footprint. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) recognises we need to be environmentally responsible and has committed to reducing our carbon footprint by half by 2030, compared to 2019.
