Mediabox spoke to rapporteur Victoria Tiblom (Sweden, ECPA) as PACE voiced concern over respect for the principles of democracy, rule of law and public freedoms in Serbia. The assembly deplored incidents of abuse of force by authorities, arbitrary arrests and ill-treatment in custody during protests that followed the collapse of the Novi Sad railway station canopy in 2024.
