Cross-Sectoral Learning for Industrial Decarbonization: Building Türkiye’s low-carbon ecosystem

Decarbonizing industry requires coordinated action across interconnected value chains, where progress in one sector supports transformation in others. Sectors such as steel, aluminum, electronics, and mining face shared challenges including high technology costs, evolving trade rules, limited access to green finance, and fragmented policy implementation. Addressing these collectively can unlock efficiencies, strengthen resilience, and reduce vulnerability to rising protectionism and climate pressures. Organized by İMMİB, this session explored how cross-sectoral learning and collaboration can accelerate low-carbon transformation along value chains. Industry leaders shared practical experiences and pathways that turn individual decarbonization initiatives into systemic change, enhancing competitiveness and sustainability. Participants gained insights into integrated approaches for industrial decarbonization, identified opportunities to scale solutions across sectors, and discussed strategies to align technological, financial, and policy tools for sustainable global trade.
