As Singapore celebrates 60 years of nationhood, we at the Hinrich Foundation commissioned this painting of the Singapore River by renowned Singaporean watercolorist, Mr Ong Kim Seng, as an homage to Singapore’s leadership in global trade. Titled "Singapore - Sustainable Prosperity through Global Trade", the painting created by Mr Ong's brush has captured not just a river and cityscape — but a philosophy: That trust, once earned, can compound like capital. That the flow of trade is also the flow of humanity.
