The training - "Strengthening the National Response to Human Trafficking: Simulation with a High-Technology Module" was held in Budva within two national projects - Enhancing the National Response to the Use of Technology in Cases of Trafficking in Persons in Montenegro, funded by IOM Development Fund, and Strengthening Counter Trafficking in Persons Efforts in Montenegro, funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
The event brought together over 20 representatives of the police, prosecution, judiciary, social protection services, labour inspection, and the Office for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings. Through an immersive learning format combining theory, simulation, and practical exercises, the training aimed to strengthen Montenegro’s operational, investigative, and victim-centered approaches to trafficking in persons.
