Caribbean SIMEX 2026: UN WFP & CDEMA Lead Groundbreaking Disaster Preparedness Simulation
Partners from across the Caribbean united for the first of its kind immersive Emergency Logistics Coordination Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) held by the United Nations World Food Programme Multi–Country Office in conjunction with the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency. The SIMEX provided a vital opportunity to test emergency response systems, strengthen coordination, and enhance readiness ahead of the hurricane season.
SIMEX 2026 showcased the power of partnership, preparedness, and regional collaboration. Through the immersive, real‑time scenarios, responders practiced the skills, systems, and teamwork needed to act quickly and effectively when disasters strike.
This simulation was made possible with the generous support of: The Government of Canada , The European Union and the United States Government.
