In 2025, the Union for the Mediterranean marked 30 years of the Barcelona Process by combining reflection with a forward-looking consultation on its future role. Throughout the year, voices from across the region contributed to a renewed UfM Strategic Vision built around three core links: connecting people, connecting countries and connecting economies. This direction was reinforced through concrete actions in political dialogue and regional cooperation, support for stability, innovation and sustainable growth, and investment in youth, skills, equality and inclusion.
