The webinar was organized by IUFRO Working Party 4.01.07 'Tree growth, mortality and remote sensing' and took place on 21 April 2026. Detailed information on forest fuels is critical to assess wildfire risks and to design effective fuel treatments. Remotely sensed information allows estimating and mapping forest fuels at different scales. In his talk, Dr. Hudak addressed recent advances in fuel mapping using different sensors and modeling techniques, showing examples of innovative developments and applications.
