We were thrilled to host our own stage at the ESA’s ESTEC Open Day last month with our esteemed hosts, ESA astrobiologist Nicol Caplin and ESA medical scientist Angelique van Ombergen for a fun and fascinating day. The day began with a massive headline, with ESA astronaut Andre Kuipers announcing that the Association of Space Explorers, the ASE, will be coming to ESTEC next year, and we also heard news of impressive space outreach programme in the Netherlands called Moonshots – we love the name and can't wait to see what they have planned. We also welcomed some incredible presentations, talks and live music. The day included The Science of Star Wars with Jon Chase, Hera project manager Ian Carnelli on defending our planet, live music from Lonely Robot, Science vs Sci Fi with Alaistar Reynolds, and Death Rays from Outer Space with Erik Kuulkers – and much, much more. Space Rocks is a celebration of space exploration and the art, music, and culture it inspires, in association with the European Space Agency. Enjoy this video?
