The story of survival for clean water
This 2min 47sec video shares the story of a displaced woman and her family at Wat Chan Sii safety camp, showing the daily challenges of accessing water and the transformation that came with clean water support. Through Oxfam's emergency response to the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict, families gained safe drinking water, mobile toilets, privacy tents, dignity kits and relief from constant hardship. This life saving intervention was made possible with funding from the Governments of Ireland, Belgium and Australia, and through close coordination with local partners and authorities. This interview in the video was made on March 28, 2026 at Banteay Meanchey province.
