Women Powering Workers’ Rights

Women Powering Workers’ Rights

Plantation work in Cambodia is demanding and often unsafe, with women laborers facing low wages, insecurity, and workplace violence. This video features Chhyi Cheb, a union leader fighting for fair wages, safe conditions, and the rights of care workers. Through Oxfam’s program “Improved Social Protection and Labour Rights for Women Workers in ASEAN’s Agri-Food Sector”, more than 34,700 women in Cambodia are gaining representation, collective power, and a stronger voice with employers and policymakers. Her story shows how women’s leadership can transform industries and create safer, fairer workplaces.
