Women Powering Workers’ Rights
Plantation work in Cambodia is demanding and often unsafe, with women laborers facing low wages, insecurity, and workplace violence. This video features Chhyi Cheb, a union leader fighting for fair wages, safe conditions, and the rights of care workers.
Through Oxfam’s program “Improved Social Protection and Labour Rights for Women Workers in ASEAN’s Agri-Food Sector”, more than 34,700 women in Cambodia are gaining representation, collective power, and a stronger voice with employers and policymakers. Her story shows how women’s leadership can transform industries and create safer, fairer workplaces.
