Mey Mey's Journey For Sustainable Livelihood
From Tonle Sap’s flooded forests to climate resilience—Mey Mey’s journey shows how youth are protecting livelihoods and building a sustainable future.
Mey Mey, 21, grew up in Kampong Khleang where water and forest sustain life. But climate change is shrinking fish catches, disrupting rainfall, and polluting the environment. With her family’s support and training from the CREFA Project by Live & Learn Cambodia funded by the Government of Ireland, she joined other youth to lead waste management and forest protection efforts.
“I hope more youth will join forces to build a better community and contribute to our country’s future.” – Mey Mey
This initiative is part of Climate Resilience for All project funded by the Government of Ireland.
