On October 8, 2024 alumni of IOG's leadership programs were joined virtually by David Kershaw and Warren Smith from Posterity Global, two of the UK’s leading specialists in public sector procurement. David and Warren have advised and led innovative digital and technology focused procurements in both the UK and globally, including being two of the founders of the UK's Digital Marketplace initiative. In this presentation they share examples of how governments are adapting their procurement practices for the digital era to embrace the concepts of agile and user centered product development. They also discuss the urgent need for governments to adapt how they work with vendors – particularly when it comes to technology-enabled projects – to provide better services to citizens and avoid high-profile project failures.
