The politicians killed represented four different political parties. And while the motivations of these killings remains unclear, it is likely that they are politically motivated or organized crime related hits. Mozwakhile Zungu and Siyabonga Mabaso were killed in Johannesburg. Leon Ngcikwe and Sinovuyo Dyokwe were killed in Cape Town. And Sicelo Mleve was killed in Nelson Mandela Bay. This paints a bigger picture of political violence in South Africa.
