Dignity in Every Cycle | EngenderHealth Ethiopia: REACH
For many students, menstruation once meant shame, missed classes, and sometimes leaving school altogether.
Through EngenderHealth’s Reach, Expand, and Access Community Health (REACH) program in Ethiopia’s Jimma and Borena zones, schools are helping change that. REACH supports menstrual health and hygiene education, strengthened gender clubs, access to reusable pads, and menstrual hygiene management rooms where students can change, wash, and manage their periods safely.
This video shows how practical support, accurate information, and safe spaces are helping students stay in school, protect their health, and manage menstruation with dignity.
