Human Trafficking in Yemen: A Crisis We Can’t Ignore
On 30 July – World Day Against Trafficking in Persons – we stand together to raise awareness and take action.
In Yemen, thousands of migrants embark on dangerous journeys in search of a better future. But many fall victim to trafficking and exploitation along the way. What often begins as smuggling turns into abuse, violence, and loss.
At IOM Yemen, we meet survivors of trafficking every day. Through Migrant Response Points, mobile teams, and community-based care, we provide lifesaving assistance, protection, and the chance to return home safely.
But we can’t do it alone.
Stopping trafficking requires all of us — communities, humanitarians, authorities, and people like you.
Let’s break the cycle of exploitation.
Let’s protect the most vulnerable.
Together, we can stop trafficking.
