In Cameroon, for the first time, girls took the floor at the National Girls’ Movement Forum, organized by UNICEF. This landmark event gave girls the opportunity to make their voices heard, share their experiences, and stand up for their rights, in a space designed by girls, for girls. With courage and determination, they spoke out against child marriage, advocated for girls’ access to education, and called on communities and authorities to protect every child. A key highlight of the Forum was the drafting of a Girls’ Manifesto, capturing their demands and hopes, and calling on decision-makers to take concrete action.
