Webinar — Driving Electric: How cities are maintaining momentum for an inclusive EV transition
From the growing range of EV models and emerging secondhand EV market to the surge in e-bike sales and sharing, EV’s higher upfront costs are no longer the barrier to Americans making the shift. Where the U.S.’ EV transition hinges is access to reliable and affordable charging. Unsurprisingly, cities are seeing the air quality, cost, and public health benefits from going electric, so they continue to lead the charge on an inclusive EV transition. Embedding affordability, convenience, and long-term mobility goals in their EV-related investments, cities are pursuing creative ways to plan, finance, and roll out EV options, incentives, and charging.
Joined by staff from the cities of Atlanta, Austin, and Missoula, the team behind RMI’s e-Mobility and Charging Access Project discussed replicable strategies, analysis, and tools developed over the last three years of city partnerships.
