In Episode 1, we examined scholasticide; the deliberate targeting of Palestinian educational institutions and the erasure of an entire generation's right to learn. In Episode 2, we turn to infanticide; the collapse of the health sector and the conditions that have made survival, pregnancy, and birth in Gaza a matter of life and death. Infanticide is not an accident of war. It is the documented, foreseeable consequence of dismantling a healthcare system, cutting off medicines, destroying fertility clinics, displacing pregnant women, and eliminating the infrastructure of life itself. Noura Jalal Ahmed is 27 years old. She is from the Shuja'iyya neighborhood of Gaza. She underwent IVF to conceive, a journey that cost her family everything they had. She lost her twins during displacement. Then she lost her frozen embryos when the medical center that stored them was bombed. There is nothing left to try again with.
