Guyana’s forests play a vital role in climate resilience and sustainable development. Strengthening how these forest resources are monitored, reported, and managed is essential to ensuring informed decision-making and long-term environmental integrity. The Government of Guyana through the Guyana Forestry Commission is partnering with GGGI and UK PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions) to strengthen Guyana’s Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification System (MRVS). Interventions build on the country’s strong foundation in REDD+ implementation.
