Improving Processes for People - Amr's Story

For Amr Saeed Ibrahim, quality has always meant more than a checklist. With a background in chemistry and experience across industries from chemicals to glass, Amr advanced his career from quality control on the factory floor to quality assurance. Now, his focus is on strengthening processes to prevent problems before they happen. Today, as a Quality Assurance Supervisor, he helps shape processes that impact nearly 1,500 workers. “I’ve always believed that quality isn’t only about products, it’s about people, awareness, and making sure everyone has the knowledge to do things right,” he reflects. Amr was one of the participants in the Industrial Seminar Series, hosted by Better Work Egypt and the Empowerment through Education and Learning in Egypt (ETEL Egypt) project at the ILO, together with industry partners. What he values most is the dialogue: “When participants from different industries share good practices, you leave not only with answers but with practical solutions you can apply. It’s a real exchange of knowledge.” 👉 Amr is one of 338 participants who joined this seminar initiative, an online webinar series covering 8 key topics: Contracts & Termination Child Labour Leaves & Working Conditions OSH Management Systems & Committees Hazardous Management Compensation & Working Hours Emergency Preparedness & Health Services Risk Assessment & PPE This series is part of a continuing journey in 2025 to strengthen the capacity of OSH and labour inspectors.
