European Data Summit 2026 – Enforce. Simplify. Build. | Day 2 | 15. April 2026
On the second day of the #EUdataSummit, discussions centered on Europe’s digital competitiveness and the future of sovereign tech infrastructure. Key debates addressed the reform of the #GDPR, the EU’s omnibus simplification agenda, and whether the #DMA can effectively reduce dependency on dominant cloud providers. Particular attention was given to digital public infrastructure, European preference schemes, scaling sovereign cloud capacity, and building the skills, certifications, and market mechanisms needed to strengthen Europe’s technological resilience.
