13th Adenauer Conference on the Role of Germany in International Politics
A World of Uncertainty: Europe’s Moment
At a time of growing geopolitical tensions, the 13th Adenauer Conference will address key questions of German foreign policy, Europe’s capacity to act, and strategic partnerships. At the heart of the event is a keynote speech by German Federal Foreign Minister Dr Johann Wadephul, exactly one year after taking office. We are pleased to discuss with the German Foreign Minister about a turbulent year in foreign policy and to look ahead to the Federal Government’s future priorities in foreign, European, and security policy.
In the anniversary year marking the 150th birthday of Konrad Adenauer, Europe’s sovereignty and resilience are at the center of attention. How must German foreign policy respond? Which alliances and partnerships are crucial for a more capable and independent Europe, and how can European values be reconciled with security policy realities?
