Sherlyn, who lives in the municipality of Pilar on the island, knows about the challenges of needing to move to safer ground in the wake of disasters. Families who resort to relocation often struggle to re-establish a source of livelihood. Sherlyn aspires for her children to finish their studies so that they can find decent jobs in the future.
