In this End of Year Message, Christopher Corbin, Coordinator of the UNEP Cartagena Convention Secretariat and Caribbean Environment Programme (CEP), reflects on the key achievements of 2025 across the Wider Caribbean Region. The message highlights progress made in addressing marine pollution, wastewater and nutrient management, and the protection of critical ecosystems including coral reefs and mangroves, as well as regional efforts to respond to sargassum challenges.
