MACS: Monitoring Action for Civic Space is a framework that monitors civic freedoms across EU countries, crucial for civil society groups and individuals to maintain fundamental freedoms. Simona Constantinescu, the Head of Development and Advocacy of FDSC, explains how public distrust in the electoral process and the justice system, challenged civil society actors in holding Romanian institutions accountable.
