EvalforEarth at One Year: Executive Group reflections and the road ahead
One year on from its launch, members of the EvalforEarth Executive Group reflected on the community’s rapid growth, expanding diversity, and growing relevance as a global platform for evaluation in food security, environment, agriculture, and rural development.
They highlighted the value of bringing together practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and institutions to address interconnected food, land, water, climate, and development challenges. Reflections underscored the strength of inter-agency collaboration, growing member ownership, South-South exchange, and the community’s role in supporting learning, knowledge exchange, and capacity development.
Looking ahead, Executive Group members reaffirmed their commitment to expanding participation, strengthening the use of evaluation evidence in decision-making, promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange, and ensuring that EvalforEarth continues to serve as a global platform for learning, capacity development, and dialogue on food security, environment, agriculture, and rural development challenges.
