At the 62nd session of the UN Human Rights Council, the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) called for stronger international action to address ongoing human rights violations and impunity in Myanmar. The ICJ highlighted how the military junta continues to weaponize the justice system, undermine fair trial rights, intimidate lawyers, and arbitrarily detain individuals. The organization urged States to support accountability efforts and demand the immediate release of all those arbitrarily detained.
