AI Marine Identification Prototype
The UNDP Accelerator Lab for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean developed a virtual, sustainable marine tourism prototype powered by AI with support from the Japan Cabinet Office and 2025 Japan SDGs Challenge. Together with Bajan Digital Creations Inc. founder Stevenson Antonio Hollingsworth and the NYU Center for Data Science, a digitally enabled model was created wherein tourists can explore and learn about coral reefs through labeled marine footage gathered via underwater robotics.
