India’s Minister Visits UNDP-SCR-K Project in the Kalinago Territory

A high-level visit to the Kalinago Territory brought renewed attention to community-led solutions for climate resilience and sustainable development in Dominica, as India’s Minister of State for External Affairs, Hon. Pabitra Margherita, engaged with UNDP-supported initiatives. The visit highlighted the Strengthening Community Resilience in the Kalinago Territory (SCR-K) Project, funded by the Government of India through the India-UN Development Partnership Fund and implemented by UNDP in partnership with the Government of Dominica and the Kalinago Council. Activities included reforestation efforts, distribution of climate-smart gardening kits, cultural demonstrations, and a tree-planting ceremony.
