As part of ongoing efforts to reduce plastic bag use in Kosovo, cooperation among institutions, the private sector, civil society, and support from the German Government through GIZ have contributed to encouraging results. Report on Plastic Bag Use shows positive progress, confirming that these measures are already contributing to a significant reduction in plastic bag consumption in Kosovo. At the same time, continued efforts are needed to strengthen implementation. This includes strengthening inspections, improving coordination among institutions, supporting local producers in the transition, and raising awareness about the use of reusable bags.
