As part of marking 25 years of friendship and cooperation between Kosovo and Germany, we are highlighting some of the joint partnerships that are driving positive change across the country.
For years, public buildings and households in Kosovo faced inefficient heating conditions and outdated systems, which limited comfort and increased energy waste. Today, with the support of the German Government, the European Union, and the Government of Kosovo, the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund (KEEF) is delivering visible improvements across the country.
More than 85 public buildings have been renovated, offering upgraded and improved comfort and better working environments. Thousands of households are reducing energy waste, benefiting from warmer and more efficient homes, and achieving long-term financial savings. Each year, a significant reduction of harmful emissions is achieved, paving the way for cleaner air and a sustainable future.
In this video, Driton Hetemi, Managing Director of the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund, shares how energy efficiency projects are transforming communities across Kosovo, enhancing public buildings and households, and contributing to both people’s well-being and environmental protection.
