Villages in Jambi Province are leading the fight against climate change through community action, achieving health improvements like reducing respiratory infections and maintaining zero cases of dengue and diarrhoea. These villages are part of Desa/Kelurahan Sehat Iklim (Climate-Healthy Villages, or DEKSI) initiative, which empowers local communities with knowledge and tools to build resilience and protect against health risks from climate change. When communities work together, they become powerful forces for climate adaptation.
