At the Dutch Landscape Leadership Lab the 'Oogst van Morgen' (Harvest of Tomorrow) , Willem Ferwerda the founder of Commonland shares his vision for a new kind of industry: a global landscape restoration industry. True landscape restoration requires long-term commitment, scale, and collaboration, along with a shared language between farmers, financiers, and governments. Real transformation starts with acknowledging loss and building trust. To make this possible, we need new expert roles — ‘weavers’ — who can read landscapes, connect disciplines, and bridge ecology, finance, governance, and communities.
