Rwanda’s approach to public health emergency preparedness and response is rooted in community empowerment and building resilient systems. By equipping local communities and frontline health workers with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need, UNICEF and partners are supporting the Government of Rwanda to put in place systems to prevent - and in the case of an outbreak, contain - public health emergencies, outbreaks and other hazards.
