In Rwanda, only 1 in 4 children under the age of six has access to quality early childhood development services. For four-year-old Paul, enrolling in a UNICEF-supported Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre has been life-changing. "When I took him there, he couldn't speak yet. Now he speaks really well," says his father. Supported by the Government of China, UNICEF is helping expand access to quality ECD services through several ECD centres countrywide that provide young children with opportunities to learn, play, grow and thrive.
