Islamic Relief Bangladesh has ensured monthly food ration for the FDMNs living in Bhashan Char since March 2022. In September 2023 a total of 6966 families (29354 households) have received food packs under Islamic Relief’s General Food Assistance project. Each month Islamic Relief distributes a food basket to every FDMN family comprising of rice, lentil, soya bean oil, sugar, salt, potato, onion, garlic, dried fish, turmeric and chili powder scanning the QR code of the right holders’ smart cards. Islamic Relief also delivers food boxes at the doorsteps of female-headed households, persons with disabilities as well as expecting and lactating mothers who face difficulty reaching at distribution point.
