Building Hopes combatting Climate Change and Food Insecurity

Islamic Relief has launched the 'Inclusive Humanitarian Support to Food Insecure & Disaster Impacted Communities in Bangladesh,' known as IHSAN. Funded by SIDA, this project aims to provide lifesaving humanitarian assistance across these three districts. The initiative focuses on improving food security, water access, and protection services. Key interventions include enhancing agricultural practices, providing seeds and tools, and addressing water contamination caused by climate hazards. The project aims to assist 3,980 households, benefiting over 16,600 individuals in four sub districts-Shyamnagar, Islampur, Dewanganj, and Ukhiya. Through integrated WASH, food security, and protection services, the IHSAN project seeks to uplift the most vulnerable communities, ensuring they have the resources to face both food insecurity and the impacts of climate change.
