Gender equality is at the heart of sustainable and inclusive development. Under the Green and Sustainable Development Partnership (GSDP), we are committed to promoting equal opportunities and rights for all people, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity. This video highlights how Indo-German cooperation supports India’s women-led development efforts to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment. By applying gender-responsive and gender-transformative approaches, our joint initiatives address structural inequalities and help ensure that women and marginalised communities can participate fully in social, economic, and political life. Across all initiatives, we place strong emphasis on the 3Rs: Rights, Resources, and Representation. This framework focuses on protecting and promoting equal rights, improving access to resources and opportunities, and strengthening representation and participation in decision-making processes for women and marginalised communities. Indo-German cooperation continues to support inclusive policies and systems that enable women and vulnerable communities to contribute to and benefit from sustainable development. Through partnerships, dialogue, and targeted initiatives, India and Germany are working together to advance gender equality, strengthen women’s empowerment, and promote inclusive growth.
