Mahala Clothing in Herat is more than a workshop; it’s a lifeline for returnee women and a step towards national self-sufficiency. Starting with just a few machines, support provided ten sewing and three embroidery machines, accelerating growth and employment. The workshop now provides shelter, income, and hope, aiming to reduce clothing imports. This growth is fueled by the European Union and UNDP’s ABADEI programme.
