100 Ways to Catch the Wind
The video 100 Ways to Catch the Wind highlights the inspiring work of Ernestine Leikeki Sevidzem, a dedicated member of WECF’s global network, who leads powerful community-based climate solutions in Cameroon. Filmed by Sarah Kuck and co-funded by the European Union under the Women Power 2030 project, the production documents Ernestine’s efforts through the Cameroon Gender and Environment Watch team, showcasing their resilience amid civil unrest and increasingly unpredictable climate conditions. The film, presented at Afrikadag 2025 on November 15, 2025 at the Pakuis de Zwijger in The Netherlands, captures Ernestine’s leadership in agroecology, agroforestry, and community empowerment—especially for women who carry the greatest burden of climate impacts. Her story reflects the heart of WECF’s mission to promote grassroots women’s leadership and provide mentoring support that strengthens their role in policy advocacy from the local level to global platforms.
